This section helps employees learn how Cashkr evaluates, prices, and manages different device types.

  • Explain valuation logic, inspection points, and key selling factors.

  • Build confidence in assisting customers and vendors accurately.


1. Smartphones (Phones)

Overview:

Smartphones make up the majority of Cashkr’s customer orders.

Key Knowledge Areas:

  • Top brands: Apple, Samsung, OnePlus, Vivo, Oppo, Xiaomi, Realme, etc.

  • Device conditions: Excellent / Good / Average / Faulty.

  • Key valuation factors:

    • Physical condition (scratches, dents, display condition)

    • Battery health & performance

    • Device age & original box/accessories

    • IMEI status (locked/unlocked, Find My iPhone off)

     

  • Common issues: locked phones, cracked screens, activation locks.

  • Inspection checklist:

    • Display, battery, camera, mic, speaker, body, and sensors.

2. Laptops

Overview:

Laptops are a growing category for Cashkr’s recommerce vertical.

Key Knowledge Areas:

  • Top brands: Dell, HP, Lenovo, Asus, Acer, Apple.

  • Valuation parameters:

    • Processor (i3, i5, i7, M1, etc.)

    • RAM & Storage (GB/TB)

    • Screen condition

    • Battery health & performance

    • Physical damage (hinge, keyboard, body)

     

  • Inspection checklist:

    • Power on test, screen brightness, keyboard keys, ports, webcam.

     

  • Special scenarios: Corporate buybacks (multiple laptops in bulk).

3. MacBooks

Overview:

MacBooks have unique inspection and pricing logic compared to Windows laptops.

Key Knowledge Areas:

  • Models: MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, M1/M2 chip variants.

  • Condition categories: Excellent / Good / Fair.

  • Valuation parameters:

    • Processor (Intel vs. Apple Silicon)

    • RAM, Storage, Year of Manufacture.

    • Physical wear, screen lamination issues, keyboard backlight.

     

  • Find My Mac and Apple ID lock must be turned off before pickup.

  • Inspection checklist: Serial number check, screen quality, battery cycle count.

4. Tablets & iPads

Overview:

Tablets contribute to both consumer and B2B segments.

Key Knowledge Areas:

  • Top brands: Apple (iPad), Samsung, Lenovo, Xiaomi.

  • Valuation parameters:

    • Display condition

    • Battery health

    • Functional components (touch, mic, speaker)

    • Connectivity (Wi-Fi/Cellular)

     

  • iPad-specific: must have Find My iPad off before sale.

  • Common issues: cracked screens, locked devices, or missing chargers.

5. General Product Insights

  • Accessories & Box: Original accessories and box add 5–10% to resale value.

  • Device Age: Older models depreciate faster; new launches retain higher value.

  • Market Demand: Pricing dynamically adjusts based on trending demand.

  • Unsellable Devices: Devices too old or unsupported are marked “Not Supported.”
