1. Purpose

To ensure all dashboards across Cashkr follow a consistent design, naming standard, color scheme, and maintenance process.

This improves readability, accuracy, and decision-making for all teams.


2. Scope

This SOP applies to all dashboards created in Looker Studio, including:

  • Executive Dashboard

  • Marketing Dashboard

  • Performance Dashboard

  • SEO Dashboard

  • Vendor SLA Dashboard

  • Operations Dashboard

  • CX Dashboard

  • Finance Dashboard

  • Custom dashboards requested by departments


3. Responsibilities

Data Analyst (Primary Owner)

  • Builds dashboards

  • Maintains connections

  • Ensures design standard compliance

  • Fixes errors & refresh issues

Department Heads

  • Provide accurate requirements

  • Approve final dashboard

CEO / Directors

  • Approve Executive-Level Dashboards


SECTION 1 — DASHBOARD NAMING STANDARDS

All dashboards must follow the same naming format:

Format:

Cashkr – [Department] – [Dashboard Purpose] – [Version/Month/Year]

Examples:

  • Cashkr – Executive – Business Overview – V1

  • Cashkr – Marketing – Weekly Performance – Jan 2026

  • Cashkr – SEO – Keyword Ranking Tracker – V2

  • Cashkr – Vendor SLA – Compliance Scorecard – 2026

  • Cashkr – CX – Ticket Efficiency Dashboard – V1

  • Cashkr – Finance – Payout & Expense Summary – Q1 2026

Rules:

  • No random names

  • No abbreviations unless defined (SEO, SLA, CX are allowed)

  • Updated dashboards must include V2, V3 etc.


SECTION 2 — FILTER & DATE CONTROL STANDARDS

Every dashboard MUST include:

Mandatory Filters

  • Date range

  • City

  • Device type

  • Source/Medium (for marketing dashboards)

  • Vendor (for Vendor SLA & Ops dashboards)

  • Status filters (Lead Status, Order Status)

  • Campaign filter (for ads reporting)

Date Control Standards

  • Default: Last 7 Days

  • Executive Dashboard: Last 30 Days

  • SEO Dashboard: Last 28 Days (matches GSC/GA4)

  • Vendor SLA Dashboard: This Week

  • CX Dashboard: Today / This Week

  • Finance: This Month / Custom

Filter Placement

  • Top row of the dashboard

  • Left-aligned

  • Consistent across all dashboards


SECTION 3 — COLOR SCHEME & UI LAYOUT STANDARDS

  • Minimal colors → clean & board-ready

Marketing Dashboard

  • Blue (#1D3557) for traffic

  • Green for conversions

  • Yellow for cost metrics

  • Red for underperforming campaigns

SEO Dashboard

  • Green → Improved ranking

  • Yellow → Stable

  • Red → Rankings dropped

  • Organic traffic in blue

Vendor SLA Dashboard

  • Red → SLA breach

  • Orange → Warning

  • Green → SLA compliant

  • Grey → No activity

Ops Dashboard

  • Dark Blue for operational metrics

  • Green for completed pickups

  • Red for failures

CX Dashboard

  • Blue for tickets

  • Green for resolved

  • Red for escalated

Finance Dashboard

  • Green → Incoming

  • Blue → Outgoing

  • Red → Pending or Delayed


SECTION 4 — LAYOUT & VISUAL DESIGN RULES

General Layout Rules

  • KPIs at the top

  • Charts & visuals below

  • Tables at the bottom

  • Use consistent spacing (20–25px)

  • Align everything left — no messy placements

KPI Box Standards

  • Always include:

    • Today

    • Last 7 days

    • Last 30 days

    • WoW % Change (optional)

Chart Standards

  • Line charts for trends

  • Bar charts for comparisons

  • Pie charts only for proportions

  • Tables must have sorting enabled

Text Rules

  • Titles bold, 16–18px

  • Labels 12–14px

  • No long paragraphs — short notes only


SECTION 5 — PROCESS TO REQUEST NEW DASHBOARDS OR CHANGES

Any department needing a new dashboard or change must follow this process:


Step 1 — Submit Request

Via Slack / Email to Data Analyst with:

  • Department

  • Dashboard Purpose

  • Metrics required

  • Filters needed

  • Sample reference (if any)

  • Priority Level


Step 2 — Priority Levels

P0 — Critical (1–2 days)

  • Data not refreshing

  • Dashboard broken

  • CEO meeting requirement

  • SLA data not loading

P1 — High Priority (3–5 days)

  • New report for monthly review

  • New dashboards for Ops, Marketing, SLA

  • Add major new metrics

  • Add new data source

P2 — Medium Priority (5–10 days)

  • Dashboard improvements

  • Layout redesign

  • Add charts or filters

P3 — Low Priority (10–15 days)

  • Cosmetic changes

  • Color updates

  • Text labels

  • Reordering charts


Step 3 — Analyst Review

  • Check feasibility

  • Check if new data source needed

  • Estimate timeline

  • Send confirmation to requester


Step 4 — Build & Test

  • Create in Looker Studio

  • Test with real data

  • Fix errors

  • Share preview with team


Step 5 — Approval

  • For Executive dashboards → CEO approval

  • For department dashboards → Department Head


Step 6 — Publish & Share

  • Set edit rights only to Data Analyst

  • Share view-only link

  • Add dashboard to Cashkr “Dashboard Index Sheet”
